Campervan Hire FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When can I pick up and return the camper?

You can pick up the camper between 2pm and 4pm on your collection day, unless we've arranged a different time with you in advance. The camper needs to be returned by 12pm on your return day.

What happens when I pick up the camper and how long does it take?

When you pick up the camper, we’ll check your driving licence and ID, and take a pre-authorisation of your security deposit from a debit or credit card in the driver’s name. After the paperwork is done, we’ll give you a detailed overview of the camper and its equipment. This process takes about 45 minutes. When you return the camper, we’ll do a vehicle condition check and make sure you have all your belongings, which will take less time.

What bedding should I bring if I’m using my own?

The camper beds are about the size of small doubles. We recommend single or double duvets, sleeping bags, and pillows. There’s plenty of storage but avoid bringing bulky bedding. We offer full bedding for a small additional cost if you prefer.

I’m hiring a campervan for the first time. What should I expect?

We make the process easy for first timers. After booking, you'll receive confirmation and useful information about campsites and ferries. Ten days before your collection, we’ll send a reminder with pickup details and required documents. At pickup, we’ll complete the paperwork and ID checks, then give you a thorough overview of the camper’s features.

Do I need to stay in campsites?

Our campers are equipped for wild camping with a leisure battery, water tank, and diesel heating. We recommend staying in campsites to use their facilities, especially since our campers don't have toilets or hot showers, and you might need to refill the water tank. Our motorhomes are also suitable for wild camping, but campsites offer useful amenities like power and waste disposal.

Who can drive the camper?

Drivers must be between 21 and 79 years old, have a full valid driving licence for at least 24 months, and no more than 6 penalty points. Licences from the UK, Ireland,

EU, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand are accepted. Check our terms and conditions for full details and contact us if you have any questions.

What identification do I need to bring?

 Drivers must provide:

  1. Driving Licence Photo Card
  2. Online DVLA Licence Check Code (UK licences only)
  3. Two separate proof of address documents (e.g., bank statements or utility bills, dated within 90 days of hire start date, excluding mobile phone bills) If we can’t verify these, your rental may be cancelled without a refund.

Can we leave our car with you while we're away?

Yes, we offer secure parking at our collection location. Just bring your car when you pick up the camper. Your vehicle must be fully insured and is parked at your own risk.

Are pets allowed in the campers?

Well-behaved pets are allowed in our campers, however at additional cost.
